Hi guyyssss! How are you today? I hope you are doing well!
For today, I am going to talk about one thing that really inspired me as a designer or as a person. Just like the title, it is about Kpop, specifically kpop music.
Yes, maybe this is weird to say that Kpop inspired me as a designer, but it really is. Everything started around 2011 when I was in senior high school, I was looking for a new music. When I was looking for new music in youtube, I came across to this girl group called 2NE1. I started to look for their musics, musics video and pictures and they really inspired me as a person and designer.

1. Design Style
It is all about colours, lights and contrast.
So if you wonder, how does a music video inspired me as a designer? This picture below is one of my works that is inspired by 2NE1's electronic music genre. 2. Inspiring Design Reference
Creative, creative, creative. yes.
One of Kpop Music agency called YG entertainment really did a good job on designing music album, packaging and sometimes stage design. I always remember some of the works that truly inspired me and I wish I could work with them one day! It is like dream come true! Music and design! Why not, right?
3. Daily Dose of Art!
Music Video, photography of artist's new song or album.
When I was bored from watching too much tv show and movies, I like to watch videos that are very short but artistic. So, I watched a lot of kpop music videos. The music makes me happy and the video makes me inspired. Why not? Here is the list of music videos that makes me feel very inspired because of the art direction of those videos.

G-Dragon - Coup D'etat Music Video
I fell in love with this video because of the semiotics or symbolism that is used by him to represent mass media, mess and brutal side. He also managed to collaborate with a contemporary artist Harif Guzman.
Lee Hi - Hold My Hand Music Video
I always think that this video is really well made, concept and art direction. It is very easy and comfortable to watch. I love it.
Taeyang - Wake Me Up Music Video
This music video is just simply beautiful in some of the climax part.
Mino - BODY Music Video
I always love music video that used varies of colour and lighting. Those aspects made the whole video pops up even more. If the music supports it, it became a really good music video.
Epik High - Born Hater Music Video
This music video really caught my eyes because of the way they shoot it. It is a portrait music video that perfectly fit your iphone screen. Cool!

Kpop really inspired me in different kind of way. There is always a moment when I thought, what if I never listen to kpop? Will I know all of those cool stuff? Will I be the same? Dunno. May be. So, as a graphic designer, I recommend you to go check them up! Open our mind to kpop! To their design and art style, or the music too. Anything that makes you comfortable. So, that is all for today!
